An ancient weapon favored by the Queldari, the Powered Bow is usually 8-12 feet in length and looks similar to a conventional bow. The bow functions by storing energy as tension when it is pulled back and unleashing it as a fiery bolt of white hot plasma. Powered Bows can have pull weights of thousands of pounds, useable only by warriors in heavy power armor, the energy is transferred from the suit of armor to the bow and then unleashed. Powered Bows have no moving parts and use no ammunition, therefore they are considered extremely reliable in a variety of situations and will often be used as a backup weapon incase more conventional weapons fail.
